Is God trying to get our attention? Isn’t it amazing that only one month ago we were all going about our routines with not a care in the world about a thing called coronavirus. Today all that has changed. Now the entire country is reeling with questions and unknowns. When you are living strictly as a biological being, trying to fulfill the desires of your 5 senses, a time like this can be very unsettling. Everything that you thought was so important and was focused on gets reprioritized. Maybe it is times like this that forces us to realize that this life is a gift from God, and that the number one priority in our life should be Him. Let the words of Jesus fill your soul today,
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
And Revelation 22:13-17 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.” The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes, take the free gift of the water of life.”
We are God’s children and we are called to pray, to take care of one another, and above all, to trust in Jesus and His teachings. I have no idea how serious or how long this virus is going to affect us. But I do know that we can place our total trust in the God who created us and who sent His son to die for us so that we could live eternally in a new world that will be virus free, suffering free, and free from fear. Jesus tells us to come to Him, let that be our focus. Not the news or the political banter. Our faith and trust is in Jesus.
- Psalm 56:3 When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
- Psalm 84:12 Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.

- Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
- Revelation 21:5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
