Dear PCF family, what an amazing Easter Service! I want to thank all of our choir members for their amazing music, Thank you to the communion committee for organizing a very big day of Communion. Thank you Robin, Rachel, and Glory and all the helpers in the Sunday school classroom. Thank you Greeters, and all those who helped put up chairs for our extra guests. But the biggest thank you goes to our Lord Jesus for giving us the gift of salvation, that is why I want the spirit of Easter to be with all of you everyday.
We are blessed and let us never forget that. I know we are all back into the routine of life with our problems and challenges, but Jesus made us a promise, in John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” So as the routine kicks in, let’s not forget this bible passage. The thief is going to try and steal what you had on Sunday, but Jesus is the King of the Universe and He says He has a better life for you, a life that is full! Stand on that promise.
Make being with your church family a priority in your life. We all need to reading the bible daily and be in prayer daily because just like your phone, you need to be attached to the source of power to continue to have the power to overcome the attacks of satan. Try charging your phone one time a week for an hour. Jesus taught this same principal 2000 years ago, He just said it a little differently. Jesus said, in John 15:5-8 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
A great story to re-read and think about is the story of the two followers of Jesus on the road to Emmaus I used in the sermon Sunday. You can read that story here.
