Dear PCF family it’s that time of year to reset your clocks. Move your clock back one hour tonight so you can be with us at tomorrows service.
As always I’m looking forward to seeing all of you tomorrow morning at 10:30. The choir will bringing some wonderful music, we get to be with one another…this is one of my favorite parts of church, being with one another. We will be talking about that more tomorrow.
You will notice a large bin outside the sanctuary. ThisĀ container is for the Christmas toy drive for The Community Hope Center which provides toys for area families during Christmas. If you would like to donate new, unwrapped toys for children up through the age of 12 years old, please bring them and place them in the bin at the church. Gift ideas include dolls, Sports equipment, crafts, activity kits, Legos, room decorations. We will be collecting until December 1st. There is another option to participate in this project if you are tech savvy, Scan the WalMart or Amazon code on the bin at church with your phone and find Community Hope Center. Toys purchased this way will be delivered directly to the Center.
Prayer List updates. I was able to see Mary Knapp at the Anderson Rehab center. She has broken her hip in 3 places and had quite an extensive surgery but she was in good spirits the day I was there. I was also able to vist Richard Sparks yesterday and he was having a second surgery on his face. The day before he had part of a lung removed. I was shocked because this morning he called me and said he was coming home today. He sounded good and said he was looking forward to seeing everyone at church Sunday. You just can’t keep a good man down!
Fun News: I got a call from Dustin Bilderback yesterday, Dustin had been on Missouri Baptist Hospital with an infection but was released and he and Cody and Lance said they wanted to plant some tulip bulbs at the church. So this next spring we are going to see “The Promise” of beautiful blooms out by our sign. Thank you Bilderback’s.
Thank you to the group of guys that worked this past at the church sprucing up the landscape rock. We had quite a crew with Al Kaburick leading the way with his John Deere Tractor with a loader. The laborers on site were Gary Watson, Dave Schaake, Mark Reeder, and Darren Hlava. Thanks gentleman for you work!
