This Sunday we will meet once again over the internet at 10:30am on the Praise Community Fellowship Facebook page.

Many of you have extra time on your hands, hopefully you are spending more time with Jesus! Sometimes I have to ask myself if what I am choosing to busy myself with is more important than seeking to get closer to God. It seems as if this is the great human dilemma, putting God first in our lives. We know that we need more time with God but too often we put it off to do, what is many times, meaningless activities. I know I am guilty.

I do find myself thinking about all of you regularly. I like to remember looking out over the church and visualizing in my mind where all of you sit . I can then pray for you and your families. I pray that the Holy Spirit is speaking to all of you. I pray that His wisdom is bringing you peace and joy and guiding you through this unusual time that we are going through. Continue to feed your spirit with the word of God whenever you can. Reading Gods words from the bible is the flour and the Holy Spirit is the yeast that allows the teachings of Jesus to expand in our hearts.

Are you struggling? Maybe with loneliness, sadness, depression, addictions, anger, frustration…. I have been there. You can come out from under any of these debilitating things but it is not easy. You probably already know that. But let me tell you what will get you through and back on top of life again.

You need two things:

  1. A disciplined daily routine that includes Gods words which can be in the form of Holy Spirit filled preaching, Holy Spirit filled Christian music, and Bible reading. Preferable all three.
  2. A Christian advocate!  and this is vital. You have to connect with someone who will be there for you, be honest with you, and who knows Jesus. Your advocate won’t just tell you what you want to hear. A good Christian advocate is someone who will be honest with you and hold you accountable. They will call you out and make you uncomfortable if necessary because they love you and want the best for you. And this type of person is not easily found but they do exist.  Let me know if I can help you find such a person.
