The Super Bowl is over! All the talk, all the excitement, all the anticipation, and it’s over. The Eagles have won and reveled in the victory. But now, the Tuesday after, all the players are waking up to the reality that by the end of this week, most people will be talking about other things. (Maybe the Eagles fans will be talking the game a little longer) The coaches and the staff are probably already thinking and planning about the 2018 season. They are already looking at who will remain and who is going to be traded. It is back to the drawing board, back to a clean slate and planning for the next season. I don’t follow sports but Bonni and I did watch the Super Bowl game together Sunday. It was an exciting game and the team I was rooting for won.
If you find your life to be in a losing game, where things are just not working out for you, I can tell you that no matter how bad things look, there is still a way for you to win the game! You need Jesus. You won’t understand that until you join His team and play for Him. It is a decision. It is a commitment. It is very much like a football game where you are going to have to get in the game and take some hits. Being on Jesus’ team requires you to participate, get dirty, get knocked around, and it requires you to use His playbook however unlike a professional sports team where you have to try out to make the team, Jesus’ team takes anyone who is willing to profess loyalty to His coaching and the team. You will have to work hard but you will come out victorious.
If you like being on a winning team, get to know Jesus. His father has spilled the beans and guarantees team Jesus will win so you can confidently bet your entire life on Him. I mean everything. You can bet your spouse, your kids, your home, your career, your neighbors, everything! It is the one bet where you can confidently lay everything you have on Jesus and be a guaranteed winner. Join team Jesus! His win will last for eternity. Read your bible! God will speak to you! He will lead you through tough decisions and he will direct your path. Contact me if you need more coaching. is accomplishing Jesus’ work in Zambia. PCF supports AVOH and they need our help. We will continue to collect women hygiene products in the basket at the back of the church. They also have a wish list of items to to help more orphaned children get off the streets, learn about Jesus, and get an education. Here is a link to their Amazon.com wish list. You can purchase these items and they will be shipped directly to the AVOH office so they can get it to Zambia. Judi Bertels thanks us all in advance for our continued support. She said when an item is purchased thru this link you will receive a tax letter which makes the gift deductible. We will be hearing from Bob and Judi this spring about all the wonderful things happening in Zambia because of our support. Here is the Wish List link. https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/132S3WPGN73Z3/ref=nav
This next Sunday, February 11th, pastor Jackie will be back from her surgery! She will be leading worship with communion. Welcome back Jackie. You can always go to the church calendar on our website to check for service information and dates. https://praisecommunityfellowship.com/calendar/
Reminder that Sunday, February 18th, Beverly Farm will be joining or worship. Tina Steibal, director of development, will be joining some of the residents to show us what our donation has done for the farm. It is always a special joy when the Beverly Farm residents can come and join us. Hopefully, with the help of Krista Kell and Lori Rodgers and Bonni, we will have some special music for that Sunday with our special guests.
