This Sunday, October 23rd, we will gather at 9:00am for worship, praise and learning, and at 5:00pm we gather back together for a meal and fellowship. Our mission for this dinner is Oasis Women’s Center in Alton so we will be collecting laundry detergent, shampoo, cleaning supplies, soap, deodorant, and baby diapers. you can bring these items to worship at 9:00 or that evening.
When you find the right person to help you through things in this life, all things become possible! Watch This. The woman running this race is blind! But her advocate, can see. I was once blind but now I can see!
When you find the right Church the same is true! We all need people to help us, advocate for us, tell us the truth, and be there when we are down!
I am looking forward to the message this Sunday! You may think, “Why would the pastor be looking forward to his own message?” Because I allow the Holy Spirit to direct the message. I’m not sure what is going to show up. I have an outline and several scriptures I have been studying, but many times I am surprised at what comes out on a Sunday Morning! Come be with your Christian family you who are celebrating and you who are down and frustrated, maybe fearful and angry. Maybe you just have a hard time hearing from God but I can assure you, God loves you and has a message for you and it is always a message of great hope and peace.
Big News: I am so excited to announce that we have found the perfect person to run the nursery during church services. Robin Hlava, Bonni’s sister. Robin said she wanted to take on that ministry and I can say that she is absolutely the perfect person for this program. An answer to prayer. She was singing in the choir but said she felt like the nursery would be a better fit for her. Now we can welcome new parents with children. We are ready to receive those who God sends us. Robin told me she would also develop programs and lessons for the children depending on their ages as this program grows. Amen!
Expand your ministry. I am going to have a short talk at the family dinner about this very important topic. Also we will be wearing name tags at the dinner. I want you to finally know who it is you have been seeing on Sundays but were too afraid to ask.
One More Time:
- We are going to be taking pictures at church over the next few Sundays to get new updated photos for our website. Any of you that have a digital camera are welcome to take photos in and around our church and during worship. If you get some good photos I will have you send them to Brett Halbe, he should be there Sunday. Don’t worry we will get your permission before we post a picture of you on the site!
- There is a new way you can send in your offerings. We have now set up our website so you can use Venmo and Paypal if that would make offerings easier for you, especially if you are an online watcher. Our website is, www.praisecommunityfellowship.com

- Alex Monshower, Alex is a room mate of my son Ben at Beverly Farm. Alex has been moved to hospice care. We pray for Alex and His mother Valerie during this time of transition asking God’s peace and love to surround Alex and his mother.
- Lela Detoye’s brother Jim needs prayers for strength to fight addiction and for an upcoming surgery. Please lift Lela and her brother to the powerful healing God of miracles.
- Pray for the people God is sending to our Church family. God is trusting us to provide them with a Joyful, loving, Spiritual Home.
- Jim Ebersoldt, We will continue to lift Jim and Sue in prayer. Jim is experiencing some serious health issues with heart and liver.
