Beverly Farm Christmas Tree Starting this Sunday Sally will will have the Beverly Farm names available to take from the Christmas tree. These are residents that have no family and they have put a wish list together for their Christmas. Please consider being an angel for one or more of these special people. Thank you.

The PCF Family is a group of people that God has assembled for Devine purposes. We come from diverse backgrounds but we gather together with a commonality which is belief in a loving, caring, life changing Father, we know as Jesus. As a church family we have roles and responsibilities toward one another and for others that God puts in our path. In the book of John 13:35 Jesus says,  By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”  We are to be disciples of Jesus and that means that we are making the life of Jesus our model for how to treat one another and take care of one another. We are helped with this task by the power of the Holy Spirit who is given to all believers for the purpose of loving and teaching and helping those God gives to this family starting with one another then branching out into the community as God calls us. This church family is vitally important because God never assembles people without a purpose. We have a Devine purpose and we must not forget that…ever! Allow that to sink in. You have been called into a family of believers because God needs you in this group to help complete His plans. It doesn’t matter of you are 5 years old or 95 years old you have been put into this family for a purpose and it all starts with allowing the Holy Spirit to fill you and renew you with the love of Jesus toward yourself and then others. God wants this family to reveal the fruits of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, to one another and the world. Our family is not static! We will be adopting others as God sees fit but we all play a roll in the expansion of this family. We invite others as lead by the Holy Spirit and we also go after the ones who get lost as Jesus taught in the parable of the lost sheep. We are family and families were created by God to be a blessing! We are the PCF family.

Prayers:

Donna Bowers: Donna will begin treatments for her cancer. Please continue to lift Donna and Will and the doctors in prayer as she moves through this chapter.

Willow, Mary and Lee Knapps great grand daughter only a couple of months old has had to have a feeding tube put in because she has not been able to eat because of a deformity in her palate. We pray for Gods healing hands on Willow and her family.

Faye Heuchert, please continue to pray for Faye as she continues to recover from her brain surgery.

Pray that God will open your eyes and ears and heart to a need that only you can fill. Then obey the prompting and watch the blessings come forth!

Sadness and Worry, we lift all who are experiencing sadness and worry.  Psalm 34:17-20 “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.”

PCF, a family, a church without walls, a church with a Devine mission! See you Sunday. Love, pastor Kent   We meet at 10:30am on Sunday at 800 North Main Street Edwardsville in the Immanuel United Methodist Church.
