Is it ever too late to call on Jesus? One of the big problems we have with Gods unconditional love towards all of us is that we cannot really relate to it. We live and operate in a very messed up conditional world. We are transactional beings.
- “I’ll do this if you do that….well maybe I will depending on if I feel like it.”
- “You give me this and I’ll do that.”
- “I’ll do that but I expect you to do this.”
- “If that’s all you are going to do for me don’t expect me to do anything more for you!”
We are score keepers. We watch the scales of justice with a close eye when it is in our best interest to do so but not as much when we are tending the scales for our own gain.
I have met people and have heard people say that it is too late for them to “Call on Jesus for saving grace. That God isn’t going to listen to someone like me. So what does the bible teach about a person who has been around Christians, maybe they were even raised in a church going family but they have let it all go and live life without Him now? They have no need for the bible or its teachings until someday at the end of their life they realize that maybe they goofed. Maybe they should have believed but now their life is over. It’s just too late to run to the cross….or is it?
I think this can be answered very clearly in a couple of bible stories but I will share this one with you. Jesus was crucified between two thieves. One of the thieves admitted that he deserved what he was getting. He would be dead in a couple of hours. He was at the end of his godless life but he looked at Jesus and said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom, Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” If this isn’t a deathbed come to Jesus meeting I don’t know what is.
Let there be no doubt that it is never too late to come to the cross and call on Jesus. For those of us who believe, we have our work cut out for us. Keep praying for those who you want to bring to church with you. Keep being bold for Jesus. The reward is beyond our comprehension.

See you Sunday, Love pastor kent
PCF choir and family growth, we are praying for more singers for our choir and to expand our PCF family. The goal is to have 20 singers, and 125 regular family members. We must do our part as disciples. Pray for someone in your circle that you know could benefit by becoming part of the PCF family. Watch God open the doors and the miracles happen!
