I forgot to mention a very important announcement yesterday at church and I wanted to make sure to get this info out to all of you. Next Sunday, November 13th, PCF will NOT have a service. Bonni and I will be out of town for business. Please help get the word out to those who may not get the blog.  I have had several suggest that I post a service message on our Facebook page and I am considering that, I’ll keep you posted.

Two weeks ago I gave all of you a short bible verse. I said you can put this verse into practice and it will change your life. Proverbs 15:1 A gentle answer turns away wrath,  but a harsh word stirs up anger.

Yesterday I spoke about the need to ground ourselves in the word of God because of all the craziness and chaos in the world. I reminded people to look at God’s creation and how stable it is when they start getting worried about all the craziness they hear in the media. As Christians, we need to ground ourselves in God’s truth which does not change. He is in charge of all things. That has been true since the beginning of time and will remain true for ever. One of the verses I used was Hebrews 13:8  Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.  I contrasted that truth with how temporary and how scattered men’s ways are. Another verse that I used which is also an anchor is Genesis 8:22.  “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat,
summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”

Write these verses on your heart. Find comfort in knowing that regardless of what man is doing, God is still in charge of everything and He has one purpose in mind. He wants His Creation to be in relationship with Him. He desires us to Love Him, Worship Him, and Trust Him. He is Eternal. His promises are eternal. Stay focused on Him and let the peace and love of God fill your life. But that will only happen when you decide to make God and His word the anchor of your life. When you give Him full authority over your life. It’s real! and you can prove it to your self anytime you choose.
