I know it’s still too early, but boy am I getting anxious!

Dear PCF family, I got a message from Jan Niemann today requesting prayers for Larry’s brother-in-law Bruce West. Bruce had cancer surgery today at University of Michigan Hospital. The operation was to remove cancerous lymph nodes from his neck area. He needs our prayers. I just spoke with Larry and He said that he has come through the operation and so far so good. Please Lift Bruce and his wife Judy.

Our annual Fried Chicken dinner is coming up on Saturday February 22nd at 5:00pm. We need all reservations for this dinner no later than this coming Sunday. You can let Nelleke know at church on Sunday or you can call her at 618-954-4155. Deadline for reservations is Sunday!

Wednesday Choir rehearsal at the church at 6:30. We had a full choir on Sunday with Kiley Reeder joining us and a brand new member Keith St. Pierre, welcome Keith. Powerful music with much more to come.

Prayers needed:

  • Mike Portell has been admitted to the hospital this past weekend. He had fallen again and they found that one of the rods that had been placed in his back from his previous surgery has cracked which appears to have done some damage to the nerves in his good leg. He will be seeing a neurosurgeon tomorrow and he should know more then.
  • Sherry Jackson, Sherry and her husband Ed ran the North Side Dairy Bar for years. Sherry had breast cancer and was doing good but the latest scan shows it has spread to her liver. The family has reached out for prayer.
  • Mary Knapp is back home but is still receiving therapy and wound care since she fell and broke her hip a second time.
