Dear PCF family, here are some update for the week.

Don Kruckeberg’s visitation begins this evening at 4:00pm this after noon at Weber funeral home in Edwardsville. The visitation will go until 7:00pm. Tomorrow there will be another visitation at our church, Praise Community Fellowship 1000 University Dr, Edwardsville, starting at 10:00am until 11:00. Immediately following the visitation there will be a memorial service followed by a luncheon at the church.  Interment will be after the luncheon at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, IL.  Memorials can be made to Eden Village Care Center or Praise Community Fellowship.

New prayer request, Richard Sparks who has been joining us the past several weeks, is going to have a cancer removed from one of his lungs Tuesday in St Louis.  Richard is having a hard time. Obviously the big scar on his face from cancer surgery is very uncomfortable for him and others who see him. He is on dialysis 3 times a week for three hours each session and the tubes and bags he wears are very uncomfortable again both for him and others who see him. The tubes are not a catheter but go through his back directly into his kidneys. He is homeless but currently resides at the nursing home across the street from the church. We offer the only hope and loving contact for him. He has a daughter but rarely sees her. He will be in the hospital for the remainder of the week after the lung surgery. Let’s lift Richard to first Jesus’ saving grace and for a good outcome of his surgery.

Scott Schuette. Scott is my cousin and has just been diagnosed with stage three colon cancer. He lives in Highland with his wife Lisa. I think scott is about 55 years old. His wife Lisa has parkinsons so he they need God’s help.  Please Add Scott and Lisa to your prayer list.

The Rinkel pumpkin farm event is this coming Saturday at 5:00pm.  There is no charge for this event. The Rinkel’s are providing soda, apple cider, and popcorn. I spoke to Diane this morning and she said there are picnic tables and hay bales to sit on but if you want to be more comfortable you can bring a lawn chair. Diane said most people just wander around to see all the attractions. So gather up your children, grandchildren or friends and meet with your PCF family next Saturday at the Rinkel Pumpkin farm. The only thing that won’t be free is if you decide to buy a pumpkin. Thank you Rinkel’s for sponsoring this event.

Great service yesterday and we had numerous new visitors. We had 10 children in Sunday school yesterday and we thank Rachel, Savannah and Brett for handling the duties since Robin was out of town. Please help to get the visitor cards that Cathy has prepared to hand out to visitors.  If you bring a guest ask for one of these cards to hand to them. See you all soon, Love pastor kent
