Update on Landon:
Mom’s first post yesterday (Sunday): We had a change of plans today… and oh, what a beautiful change it was!! The doctors originally told us they’d close Landon’s chest tomorrow. But this afternoon, they came back and said, “We’re moving forward today.” And just like that… Landon’s chest is officially closed!! This is such a huge step forward in his healing journey, and we give all the glory to God for carrying Landon this far. Every time the plan shifts, it’s just another reminder that God is writing this story in His perfect timing. Please keep covering Landon in your prayers as he continues to recover. We are overwhelmed by your love, support, and faithfulness to walk with us through every twist and turn.
And then she wrote Later yesterday:
“On Thursday, my son’s new heart declined. His pulse was gone. Machines took over where his body could not. I stood there helpless, feeling the shadow of death pressing in on my child. The weight of that moment nearly crushed me. But yesterday (Saturday), life broke through. His heart began to beat on its own. What seemed sealed by death burst open with life. And it happened on the THIRD day. How can I not see the gospel written all over this? When Jesus went into the grave, hope vanished. The world went silent. But on the third day, death was defeated and life returned. That same victory is unfolding in Landon’s story. What the enemy tried to steal, God gave back in resurrection power.
This is not chance. This is Christ. The risen Savior who still reigns over life and death. Hallelujah to the God who restores life. The One who holds every heartbeat.”
Yesterday I told you our congregation steps up when we see a need! We found out there is a fundraiser for Landon’s family. They are trying to raise $18,000.00 to help cover some of the costs from Landon’s long hospital stay. Because of all of you and your generosity I am very happy to tell you PCF is sending them a check for $10,000 dollars today!
I think Al Kaburick said it the best:
“While riding back from Leah’s Family weekend at Mo State, we had the chance to listen to the sermon. Such a great message, Kent! And now reading this, I am so proud of this group’s loving spirit to help someone we’ve never met (and without concern about what church he goes to or his political views). We are simply seeing their needs and reaching out with the love of Jesus!”
See you all soon, Pastor Kent
