There are only two paths in life from a Christian perspective. One path moves you toward God, all others move you away from God. Choose wisely.

Psalm 119:18Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your instructions!”  What a simple beautiful truth. We need to have our spiritual eyes opened to God’s instructions when we read the bible. Some may ask, “Is that possible?” Yes, God desires for you to know His instructions and then to walk in them, participate in them, make them your way of life. It always begins with a decision. You must decide to get involved with God. He gave you free will and wants you to choose Him. Some of you reading this may say, “I have chosen Him but I still have many questions and still don’t have that deep peace and love promised in the scriptures.”  You are in good company. David is just one of the many heroes in the bible who wrote many psalms that speak of this same frustration but we have huge advantage over David and many of the other biblical heroes. We can read about their entire life from beginning to end and read about the faithfulness of God. Those in the bible who chose God and walked in His truth were all blessed as long as they stayed on God’s path. Even when some of them got off the Godly path like David did on several occasions, as long as they repented and came back to the Lord, God was faithful and welcomed them with open arms with blessings!

The bible teaches us to Seek First His Kingdom, above all other things in life. Then, the bible tells us that God will add the things to our life that will truly bless us and bring us His peace and Joy.
