Dear PCF family and friends, this Sunday is Palm Sunday, the event of Jesus riding a Donkey into Jerusalem before his trial and crucifixion. It is known as the triumphal entry. You can read this story in all four gospels. Matthew 21:1-11, Mark 11:1-10, Luke 19:28-44, John 12:12-19.
“The Joy of the Lord is your strength”. Nehemiah 8:10. Joy is such a wonderful and powerful gift that only comes from knowing and walking with the Lord. It is one of the fruits of the spirit. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
The fruits of the spirit develop in spirit filled people. Therefore a spirit filled church, a church filled with the Holy Spirit can lift even the most broken soul. And it isn’t just broken souls that can be lifted, a spirit filled church can transform all those who become part of the church family. True worship, those who worship in spirit and in truth, receive from God. True worship refreshes and renews. Here is what the bible teaches from Isaiah:
- All those in The Edwardsville Glen Carbon area who do not yet know the life changing power of Jesus, that they will find Jesus and a church family this Easter that blesses them!
- Paige Burton, Paige has had her hip surgery April 6th. She is doing good. Please continue to lift Paige to God’s healing hands.
- Jim Cerbie, Jim is Bill and Judy Daubenspeck’s Brother-in-law. Jim is 87 and has inoperable lung cancer and has been diagnosed with Alzheimers. We lift Jim and his wife to God’s peace, strength and comfort.
- Jason Burton, Jason is a good friend of Gary and Cathy Watson. Jason is in his 40’s with a young family and has been diagnosed with cancer. He is unable to work at this time and he is the sole provider. We ask for God’s intervention into this situation, that His Glory, Peace and Healing will come and lift this family out of their worries and fears.
- The people of Ukraine and Russia who do not want the war.
- Don Kruckeberg, Continued prayers for God’s Healing peace and strength. We pray that Don may be surrounded with God’s love and peace.
