Praise Community Fellowship was nominated for the Community Volunteer Team Award for our work with the Edwardsville/ Glen Carbon TWIGS program which was voted on by all teachers and staff and PCF won!

I want to thank our amazing dedicated Volunteers who make the Glen/Ed Twigs such a success. Brad and Faye Heuchert who launched and ran the program here for years. Judy and Bill Daubenspeck, Gary and Cathy Watson, Sally McLaughin, Ken Winchester, Nancy Darnell, Kay Gieselman, Mike Pellock, Rhonda Grammer, Kathleen Coast, and I know that there are others who have volunteered through the years. A big thank you to Nelleke Weese who is now managing this amazing ministry. Thank you all for your dedication and service. Nelleke has donated the Award to Lisa Guilliams of Granite City who is the founder of the organization. There is a picture of this award above.

Todays scriptural thought:  “The greatest among you will be the one who always serves others from the heart.”  (Matthew 23:11. The Passion Translation)

Kent’s thank you. I want all of you who are PCF family and friends to know that I feel extremely blessed to be surrounded by so many kind, generous, and caring friends and it is an honor to be called your pastor. We are a little different than most churches as most of you are well aware. We have no building, we have no membership requirements, we have no salaries, no payroll, but we do have a desire to get closer to God’s truth and to share that truth and His love with the our neighbors. We are going into our 10th year and I still feel as if we are just getting started. Praise Community Fellowship, the church with No Walls!

Our prayer list:

  • Emmett, Bob and Judi Bertels grandson is a 12 year old young man who has just been diagnosed with macular dystrophy which causes loss of eyesight. We ask for God’s intervention and healing.
  • Mike Portell, who had a serious hand injury with a circular saw last week, we pray for full recovery and patience while healing is taking place.
  • Alene Schuette, who fell and fractured a vertebrae. We pray for release of pain and full recovery.
  • Ron Jones, Ron is Rhonda Grammer’s father. He had a stroke and is in recovery. We ask for God’s healing grace and strength. Ron’s wife Carol has also been admitted to the hospital with heart failure symptoms so we also pray for her recovery and strength. UPDATE: Ron has been able to come home but we need to continue our prayers for further recovery and strength.
  • Me for broken ankle, your prayers are very appreciated for a fast recovery.
  • All who are seeking a deeper relationship and deeper understanding of Jesus’ teachings.
