Praise Community Fellowship does not meet tomorrow, our next gathering will be December the 9th two weeks from now. We are the church with NO WALLS. Make tomorrow and next week a time to be Jesus to others in your family and the community.

Raise The Praise Fellowship Choir will meet this coming Thursday in the church sanctuary at 7:00pm.

Put whatever you are facing into perspective. Many years back when I owned a landscape company, I was having an awful day. I don’t remember all the details but I know I had some equipment failures, employee issues, and I was working many many hours without a break and I finally snapped. I said things that were not good, including cursing, I think I threw a few tools, and basically had a melt down. When the worst of my tantrum was over my dad looked at me and said, “Kent, in a hundred years from now, who is going to give a damn about this situation?”  Those words stuck with me and have guided my reactions to things ever since. The bible says we are but a mere mist and it isn’t just talking about when things are bad, but also when they are good. We must put all things into perspective of eternity.  Here is the verse from James 4:13-17. Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.”  Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”  As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil.  If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.

Things do not always go right in life but neither do they always go wrong. We must seize the moment and fill it with love, and laughter, and peace and joy whenever possible and when things go bad, we must realize that this too shall pass and in 100 years what will really matter? The answer is love. Love will always matter because it is eternal. Jesus told his disciples: John 13:35 .  “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Beverly Farm Christmas tree of names.  Each year Lori and Krista bring our church about 50 names of residents at Beverly farm who have no relatives so we buy Christmas gifts for them. This year since we are having only two services in December, Sally McLaughlin, who manages this project, asks that if you are interested in taking a name or two to please call her so she can get you the details. We will need the gifts wrapped and back at church by the 23rd which will be our final service for the year. You can call Sally at 618-978-3490 if you would like to participate in this project.

We are the Church with NO WALLS! Praise Community Fellowship is an all volunteer Christian family that meets twice a month.  Because we have no building and no salaries we can use our offerings to reach outside the walls of a church building and into our community and the world helping those with need. We believe in discipleship, that we are all called to be Jesus to those hurting around us. We have no membership requirements. We believe if you like what we stand for and what we are doing in the community and the world you will want to join us on our mission of No Walls. If you want to learn more about us go to our web page and sign up for this blog at https://praisecommunityfellowship.com

See you soon! Love, pastor kent
