Stan is now with Jesus! He passed last night into Jesus’ arms. This is a time for a celebration for Stan but also a sad time for many who will miss him. The visitation will be Thursday at Irwin Chapel from 5:00 till 8:00pm. Irwin Chapel is located at 591 Glen Crossing Road, Glen Carbon right off highway 159. Stan’s service will be held Friday at Immanuel Methodist Church with a visitation starting at noon and a 1:00pm memorial service. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Cemetery and there will be a luncheon following at the church.
Yesterday’s service was quite the celebration. We had the Beverly farm management staff, some of the Beverly Farm Board members and of course our very special guests some of the residents. Beverly farm treated everyone to a wonderful breakfast and brought gifts of beautiful coffee mugs for everyone as thanks for our donations to the Farm. It was wonderful, thank you Beverly farm for being part of our service yesterday.
Psalm 1:1-3 1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither And whatever he does shall prosper.
There is much to do for God’s Kingdom in many peoples lives. They are all around us. They need to know the Hope and the Healing that Jesus brings. If you want to help, Jesus is waiting to hear from you. Just ask Him to show you what He has for you to do.
See you soon. Love, pastor kent
