Praise God from whom all Blessings Flow, Praise Him all creatures here below, Praise Him above ye heavenly Host, Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, Amen
Those of you who grew up in a traditional church probably remember singing that song almost every Sunday. We usually sang it after offering. As most of you know Praise Community Fellowship is an all volunteer church family. We have no salaries, no employees. We are blessed that our only overhead is rent at $250 per service when we meet at the church and we carry a liability insurance policy that costs about $1,000 per year. We do however support many requests and missions. The offerings we receive go to help those in need, many of the needs we sponsor are in our community like Glen Ed Pantry, Edwardsville School Nurses for helping children that have known needs. We have a TWIGS volunteer group that pack and deliver food for local kids in district 7. We recently sent $1,000 to the Jackie Joyner Kersee Center in East St. Louis to help out their feeding program. Just this week the board approved sending $1,000 to The Oasis Center in Alton and $1,000 to the Good Samaritan House in Granite City. Both of these organizations provide shelter and care for women and children in need. And we have our regular missions of African Vision of Hope, Beverly Farm, and Edwardsville Neighbors in Need and we have been there for many more.
PCF is very blessed to have $0 debt and no overhead with the exception of what I mentioned above. I am going to put out a rare request that you consider sending an offering if you are able so that we can continue to support our missions and requests. As you can expect with so many people being laid off in this troubling time many non profits are getting hit quite hard. Your offerings can be made out to Praise Community Fellowship and sent to Savannah Halbe, our financial secretary:
Savannah Halbe, 427 Home Ave, Edwardsville, Il. 62025.
Thank you for your consideration. Love, Pastor Kent. Praise Community Fellowship….The church with No Walls! Currently meeting online at 10:30am Sunday mornings. You can join us by going to our Facebook page.
