This Sunday is Christmas Eve. PCF will be leading the 8:45am service. I am planning a surprise visitor that will be joining me for this special service. I’m hoping this little visitor will cooperate with me. PS. it is not Santa Claus! This service will be about the love God sent us in special little package. This will be a great service to bring your family and friends. Then, that night at 11:00 pm, Jordan Grammer will be leading the evening candlelight service.

Bonni and I want to thank all of you who have been so supportive of this ministry this past year. We are praying and looking forward to what God will lead us to in 2018.

There is power in knowing God and tuning into the Holy Spirit. If you are struggling or seeking something better for your life, God has the answer but you must be willing to enter into a close relationship with Him. A close relationship develops trust and when you come to trust someone, you will be willing to listen and follow that person. There is one person who always has your best interest in mind and that person is Jesus. Jesus is the best person to go to for life direction. It is good to have friends, and have wise council from your friends, but Jesus is still the best source of life decisions. Make the decision to become a close friend of Jesus. It is life altering!

What’s coming down the road in 2018 for PCF!  We are going to be hearing from some very special folks at Beverly Farm to thank all of you for your gifts. There will be a group of residents joining us for worship. We will have a very special service that day which is to be announced soon. We will also be hearing from The Opel’s, the family that started Neighbors In Need. We will hear some of the stories of how this organization along with all of your help has impacted some families in need. There are several others who will be joining us for worship sometime in the near future and I will keep you posted.

PCF and IUMC are doing a great ministry together with the TWIGS School District 7 back pack lunch program. Thank you to all the volunteers who make this awesome ministry work every week.

You have a vital role in God’s ministry! I feel very blessed to be part of such a giving and loving congregation. Let’s all pray that God will inspire and lead us to do even greater things for His kingdom in 2018!

Special Request: I got a message from Shauna Boad. Shauna is developing the old home located at Logan Place in Edwardsville for a special ministry for young women. She calls it Amazing Grace at Logan Place. Shauna is looking for volunteers to help with some tree removal this Wednesday starting in the morning. She is also looking for someone to bring lunch to the volunteers. If you can help out please call her at 618-971-5029! Thank You.

See you Sunday at 8:45am! Merry Christmas. Love, pastor kent
