On my last blog I told you I had just mowed my lawn. Since then we seem to have entered the St. Louis winter pattern, cloudy, gloomy, cold, rainy! When it’s like this I get cabin fever so I started to exercise. Not a bad thing but I probably wont be able to move Sunday! I know that one cannot exercise one time and then call it good. Exercise must become a daily habit to be effective. What else would fit that category? But here is the Good News, PCF services on Sunday mornings are joyful, warm and inviting!
Make it a habit, join us on Sunday’s at 9:00am. Come be part of a joyful spiritual family. Come worship the Lord of the Universe. Come align yourself with God and watch the blessings bloom into your life.
A Big PCF Welcome to: Gabe Szymarek, Wendy Wickham’s son, who joined us at church for the first time this past Sunday. Gabe had been following us online and it was a blessing to have him join us in person. We hope to see you again soon Gabe. Also I want to send out a big welcome to Connor Bradley and Alexa Stephenson a young couple who joined us last Sunday who also have been following us online. We hope to see both of you again soon also.
This Sunday we will be talking about the Samaritan Woman in John 4 if you want to read that chapter before the service and begin thinking about the story. Oh there is so much to learn and think about.
Reminder: Year end tax statements from the church. Savannah is ready to send your year end tax statements for the donations you made in 2022. The fastest way to get your statement is to have it sent to you by email. If email works for you, please email Savannah your email address along with your name and she will get the tax statement right to you. Savannah’s email address is savannahhalbe@outlook.com. If she does not receive an email address from you, your tax receipt will be sent by regular mail.
Services for Allen Kunz will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Drive, Glen Carbon. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00pm and the memorial service will begin at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers memorials to Hospice of Southern Illinois, 305 S. Illinois Street, Belleville, IL 62220 will be appreciated.

Mike Portell is back home from the hospital and will be recovering from home.

- Jane Hyten, a good friend of Patti Franklin needs our prayers. She has MSA (multiple system atrophy) this is a neurodegenerative disease. Jane watches us online each week. She is at Brightly Senior living. Please lift Jane to God’s peace and care and pray for her to be blessed with His joy and peace.
- Lana West, Lana is Tyler Mackie dad’s girl friend and she has been diagnosed with Lung Cancer. Let’s lift this young lady to God’s healing power and ask for Jesus to surround her with His love and his healing angels. Father let her feel your presence and your peace.
- Tim Allen, Kory Kuba’s brother-in-law has been diagnosed with lung and liver cancer. Please lift Tim and his family to God’s miraculous healing power and strength. We also pray for God’s peace.
- Cathy Watson: For continued healing of her Shoulder injury.
- Shawna McMichael, Shawna has started her chemo therapy, let’s keep lifting her so she gets through this next step with strength and God’s peace. We are with you Shauna! and He is with you!
