Dear PCF family, there are themes in the bible that stay consistent. The big one for me is John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”  I believe if you keep that as the overall theme of the entire bible, your interpretations of what the scriptures are really trying to teach you will be much more accurate. I have many questions about bible passages I read. Sometimes I cannot figure out what is being taught. To those passages I set side and let the Holy Spirit unveil them at the proper time, if that time ever comes.

This Sunday I am going to look at a very popular old testament story that has bothered me every time I read it. It is the story of Moses not being allowed to enter the promised land. There have been many different teachings on this topic so I want to show you how John 3:16 influenced my thoughts on this difficult story which ends up coming to a very surprising conclusion. I hope you can join your church family tomorrow for the service which starts at 10:30am. I am looking forward to seeing you. Sincerely, pastor kent.
