This Sunday Praise Community Fellowship will be leading worship at 10:30am. This will be a communion service.

My mission as a pastor is to get people to grasp the reality of God and His son Jesus who will come into the life of anyone who asks sincerely. Why is this so important? Because knowing the reality of God and Jesus gives life a deep peace and profound meaning and it answers the most profound question man has been asking since the beginning of time, “What is the meaning of Life?”  I try, through my sermons, to lead people to the answer to that question. Because when you know the answer to that question, your life takes on a whole new depth of meaning and purpose that cannot be found from any other source! God’s word is truly living water.

This Thursday evening at 7:00pm the Raise The Praise Community Choir will be praising Jesus with music and worship. Everyone is invited to be part of this uplifting gathering. This is not a sermon service but a night of praise, worship, and fellowship.

What does the future hold for PCF?  This next week Gary Watson, our board president will be leading our first future planning committee. He has assembled a good mix of our congregation members and they will be getting together to discuss many ideas pertaining to our future. We will keep you posted as these meetings unfold.

Prayers:

Betty Godin  Many of you remember Betty, she never missed a service when she lived here. This past week her daughter called me and said Betty was at Missouri Baptist Hospital due to a stroke, however when I went to visit her the neurologist came in and said after reviewing all the tests, that she did not have a stroke but her symptoms may have been caused by low blood pressure. She will continue tests this week.  Prayers for Betty’s healing and God’s Peace.

Mary Knapp, Mary is at Anderson and is still not feeling too good. They are running tests and hopefully she will get to come home today or tomorrow. We pray for healing and Gods strength.

Ela Kuba, continued prayers for Ela’s quick recovery from a broken arm.

Linda Klingle . Linda continues treatments now that she is back in Edwardsville. We pray fro God’s strength and healing touch.

Pete Fornof   I have a praise report from Pete. He got great news from his oncologist saying the the tumor is gone and they are not finding any trace of cancer! Pete will still undergo a treatment of Chemo for his brain for precautionary measures. This is wonderful news and we thank God for this blessing of healing.

Mike Portell Mike is still undergoing treatments and we lift Him up to God’s healing touch and ask for God’s peace and strength during this time of recovery.

Put your life into Perspective   Sometimes it’s just good to sit and be with God. This is a very busy life. There is much to do and all the things on our list are important and need attention, that’s the way the world works. But when I go to the hospital and visit people who have been taken out of the daily routine due to illness or accident you quickly realize that no matter who we are or how important we think we are, and no matter what plans we have made or how involved we are in a project it can change in an instant. We can quickly learn that this world is going to keep right on turning with and/or without us. Just as it always has. Make time for Jesus everyday because He is our eternal future. Read the bible! It is God’s word to you. It is where you can find wisdom. It is where you can find peace. It is where you can find comfort. It is where you will find the living God and the perfect plan that allows anyone to have eternal life in a way that we cannot yet quite comprehend. It will be perfection, glorious, wonderful, beyond what we can imagine. It will be what Adam and Eve had before the fall in the Garden of Eden. The bible tells all believers that their ending here on this earth is just the beginning of something far greater.

See you Sunday, 10:30am 800 North Main Street Edwardsville. Love, pastor kent
