We joke about it, ” I saw it on the internet so it must be true!” but still people read posts and then resend them as if they have discovered something about someone that is going to shed new light on who they are and what they are about. Or, there is the latest discovery that is going to make you either, rich, younger looking, thinner, smarter, etc. We know better, yet such information literally attracts and affects millions every day.
What if I told you religion has been no better! Propaganda, power struggles, rumors, money, out and out lies, misinterpretations and on and on. It’s time to seek the truth. Where did your doctrine and beliefs come from? The reason this is so very important to know and investigate is because Jesus said something that is life changing when it comes to religion, it is found in John 8:32. “Then you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free! Set free from what? If you read the story from the book of John you will notice that Jesus was addressing the religious people of the day. They were all lost in their religion. Jesus told them that if they would believe Him and hold to what He was trying to teach them they would know the truth and the truth would set them free! We are going to explore this this teaching this Sunday. As we move closer to easter, I am going to show you that the “Good News” is better than you have ever imagined.
