Good afternoon PCF family. Remember, this Saturday at 5:00pm is our chicken dinner for those who have made reservations. Our mission for this dinner is Refuge 4 Kids and we will be accepting donations for this organization. If you are planning on donating checks should be made out to Refuge 4 Kids. Hope to see many of you there Saturday.
Is there a “most important” verse in the bible? I think there may. First of all, all scriptures are important! And, the most important verse to you may change depending on what you are facing. A psalm that brings you peace and comfort may be the most important verse in a certain circumstance and then a week later a verse from one of Jesus’ parables may open a whole new understanding for you which makes that a very important verse. Others may say that the first verse in the bible may be the most important, ” In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth!” but I do believe that there may be a more important verse than any of these. There are actually several verses found in all the Gospels that proclaim the same thing and I am going to use one here:
I believe this is the most important message in the entire bible because if it were not for the resurrection, nothing else would matter. Jesus would have just been another man that was a great teacher and did some amazing miracles. Because without his death and resurrection it means no savior, no God, we are just biological beings that live, and then die and that’s it. But when Jesus rose from the dead He proved that everything He taught was true, that there is a God, and a plan, and there is eternal life for those who come to Him and believe that He is the way, the truth and the life! Raising from the dead after 3 days was the clincher that proved He was who He said he was! He proved He truly was God and to this I say AMEN!
We will continue our weekly journey toward Easter this coming Sunday, see you at service, 10:30am.
