Dear PCF family, tomorrow we will gather to celebrate the birth of our savior. I have been thinking about tomorrow’s service for some time now, wondering what to talk about, but sometimes God steps in and just makes things more clear. Last night my mom passed away at Anderson Hospital and here is what I want to say about that. Because I know mom loved Jesus, my sorrow is different, it’s not devastating or depressing, it’s healthy, it’s softer, it’s kind of calming. I mention this because I realize the most important thing we can do when we come together as a church, is just being together because of our love and care for one another. It really isn’t about a good sermon or a great set of songs, but much more it’s about people from all walks of life, from different backgrounds and interests, and likes and dislikes, and political views, all gathering for one reason, because we all love Jesus our savior and wanting to be together in is name to thank him for what He has done for each of us. He has given us the gift of eternal life. He is the only one who can give us this gift. I told mom shortly before she passed yesterday evening that she would be blooming like a beautiful tulip soon. We sang to her, prayed with her, and the whole time she had a smile for everyone that would come in. Leaving this life when you know Jesus is actually a very beautiful thing.
I am looking forward to being with all of you tomorrow, let’s just be together Amen! Sincerely, Kent and Bonni
Service begins at 10:30am and we will have communion!
Blessings and Merry Christmas.
