Dear PCF family, First I want to update a few prayer items. Kerry Baugher’s dad went to be with Jesus this past week. Kerry along with his wife Jenny, attended this church many years before moving to Scottsdale AZ. Also Mike Portell is in the hospital in Shiloh with a severe infection in his ear that has expanded into his jaw area. He is on powerful antibiotics and will be there a day or two. Please lift Kerry and his family along with Mike Portell in prayer.
This coming Sunday during the service we will be baptizing Ty Brown. Ty started coming to our church along with Payten and their two boys Issac and Anakin about a month ago. Like all of us Ty is stepping into his journey with Jesus as His savior. Let’s lift Ty and his family in prayer as God opens up new wisdom and direction for their life with Jesus.
Please remember to get one of our welcome cards into the hands of visitors. You can ask the greeters to hand you one. These cards contain information about our church and contact information if they would like to talk with Kent. It also includes information on how to sign up for the blog.
Thank you Ken, Diane, Eric and Jennifer Rinkel for a very nice time at the Rinkel Pumpkin Farm last Saturday evening. It is a beautiful farm and such a good time visiting there. We appreciate your generosity. Everyone loved the frozen apple cider and popcorn. Cathy Watson also got a ride on the home made train along with the Kids.
A very important bible verse to know and have in your heart and mind at all times.
Ephesians 6:10-12. “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
But what does it mean? Everyone of us has opinions, motives, reactions to others, aggravations, and times when we say or do things that just doesn’t reflect who we really are in Jesus. This scripture reminds us that when we run into people who are broken, angry, acting out, acting crazy, inappropriate, etc.. that it’s not the person but the forces of evil in this fallen world acting through them. We are not to be at war against one another but against the evil powers. Remember there is no evil entity or power that can stand against the power of Jesus our Lord and the power of love because God is love. He inhabits love.
