Dear PCF Family, we have a group of volunteers meeting at the church this morning to do some outdoor landscape work. Thank you all who are helping out with this work.

I have a couple of prayer updates:

  • Richard Sparks is going in today to have a cancerous tumor removed from his lung this afternoon. His operation will be a SLU. I will have an update after I go see him tomorrow. Richard always has a sense of humor, he told me to bring him a cheeseburger and a coke when I come.
  • Mary Knapp is at Anderson Rehab, she fell and broke her hip this past week.

Please lift all the people on our prayer list. Utilize the powerful tool of prayer often everyday.

The Baptism ceremony we had this past Sunday for Ty Brown is an example of how the Body of Jesus is so important in the expansion of God’s Kingdom. Every person that belongs to God’s Kingdom is important. We all have a big role in helping others into God’s Kingdom. It may be our smile, our generosity, our love, our willingness to help a person in need, a kind word, maybe sharing a bible story with someone. It may be using your talent like our choir members have to bring such a powerful and beautiful music to our service every Sunday. When our loving joyful congregation meet new people that come and visit us, they can feel our love and joy and that is so important. That is why every single person in our church family plays a role in bringing God’s love to the world. Rejoice in your mission at home, at work, while driving, in every area of your life. Rejoice in the name of Jesus and let that rejoicing flow out of you into the world every day!

Romans 12:1: “And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because all He has done for you. Let them be a living sacrifice…the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.”

  • Wednesday Choir Practice at 6:30

You will notice a large bin outside the sanctuary. This  container is for the Christmas toy drive for The Community Hope Center which provides toys for area families during Christmas. If you would like to donate new, unwrapped toys for children up through the age of 12 years old, please bring them and place them in the bin at the church. Gift ideas include dolls, Sports equipment, crafts, activity kits, Legos, room decorations. We will be collecting until December 1st. There is another option to participate in this project if you are tech savvy, Scan the WalMart or Amazon code on the bin at church with your phone and find Community Hope Center. Toys purchased this way will be delivered directly to the Center.

Praise Community Fellowship is a very Joyful, Prayerful church! We meet Sunday mornings at 10:30am at the Esic Worship Center located at 1000 University Drive Edwardsville near the old YMCA . We believe in teaching all of God’s truth with love and compassion. PCF is a 100% volunteer church. Come be part of a Joyful Christian Family. We have a Sunday school program and a nursery for the little ones. If you have questions call Pastor Kent @ 618-334-3575 or our board president Gary Watson @ 409-781-6510.
