This is a picture of my parents 100+ year old player piano. It still works! Put an old scroll on the device and it plays songs that were played by someone over a hundred years ago. It plays what it is given on the scrolls. What scrolls are we playing as we live our life? Are we playing beautiful music that we have learned from God and his word or are we reflecting things that the world has fed us? It’s a choice and we choose what we are programming ourselves with.
Good afternoon PCF family, let me catch you up on some things.
First, we got another Landon report just about 10 minutes ago, please read this from Landon’s mother:
Last night I stayed at the hospital to complete my 24-hour training, hoping it would be the final step before bringing Landon home. We had three things standing between us and that special moment. We were waiting on insurance approval for his anti-rejection medication, an MRI of his brain, and a chest X-ray. By late last night, we had checked off the MRI, and this morning the X-ray was done. Everything seemed to be falling into place. But then came some discouraging news. Our insurance has refused to cover the anti-rejection medicine that Landon absolutely cannot live without. They even told the hospital it can’t be appealed because we don’t have a “special medication plan.” Thankfully, the hospital stepped in and provided a one-month supply while we figure out how to fight this battle with insurance.
Then, neurology came in with the results of Landon’s MRI. The scan showed bright spots in the back left side of his brain, which revealed that he had suffered a stroke sometime in the past week, likely caused by the blood clot in his heart. Because of this, they are switching him to a new blood thinner called Lovenox, which is given by injection. He’ll need to stay in the hospital a couple more days so they can monitor him closely, especially since the risk of another stroke is higher right now. This is not the homecoming we hoped for. My heart feels crushed, and the tears have been many today, but I will not let despair have the final word.
In this waiting, I am learning to rest in the hands of the One who holds every tomorrow. He is not surprised, and He is not shaken. And when my faith feels fragile, His strength carries me. Please continue to pray for us. Pray for peace in the unknown, protection over Landon’s mind and body, and the courage to keep moving forward one step at a time. And thank you for being a living reminder that God never leaves His children without help. Your prayers, love, and encouragement are part of the way He lightens this heavy road.
We are forever grateful.
