Blessings to all of you reading this blog. I get plenty of time to read and study when we travel. On this trip I have been considering all my blessings and offer this prayer for all of you.

“God open our eyes to see what you see so that we do not miss all the beauty that you have given us to enjoy from nature everyday, and so that we never look away from a need that we can fulfill. Lord open our ears so that we may hear all the beauty of music and the sounds of nature and that we might also hear the cries of those in need and not miss the opportunity to help and to comfort. Lord open our mind to your wisdom so that we may have heavenly discernment in all the decisions we make. Let us clearly hear your Spirit within Lord so that we may do what you say, and speak the words you tell us to speak. Lord help us to understand the stories in the bible so that we may become the vessel you want us to become. Keep us from going our own way and allow your will to always be our path. In Jesus name we thank you for hearing this prayer. Amen”

This past week end Bonni and I had out of town guests with us, Michelene and Dr. Walter Bounds. They visited our church this past Sunday. During our visit Walter shared 2 simple things he has adopted for his life. I wanted to share them with you.

  1. If a task takes 3 minutes or less, just go ahead and do it! Don’t put it off.
  2. If something is free or costs me next to nothing and it makes someone else’s life or day better,  why would I choose not to do it? Saying good morning, letting someone out when they are trying to pull out of a parking lot, putting a cart back where it belongs at the grocery store, taking a cart in when I go into the store. Just a couple of examples but there are hundreds of things, simple things that we can all do! Not to say we should not do good even if it does cost us more and sometimes a lot more. It just helps make the world a better place.
