Hebrews 12:1-2 12 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Tomorrow is good Friday. The day Jesus gave up everything so all people could have the opportunity to restore their relationship with God. John the baptist opened Jesus’ Ministry with these words,“Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” Then, approximately 3 1/2 years later, Jesus finishes His ministry here on this earth with these words, “It is Finished!”  Everything you and I need to be restored into the proper relationship with God has been completed by Jesus. Now it is up to us to accept that which He completed. His sacrifice paid our sin debt, a gift, but the gift must be received and put into use. Jesus did the hard part. He did that which only He could do. The death penalty was placed on Him so you and I could be set free, Thank you Jesus! Praise the Lord!

Spend some time and read the last three chapters of any of the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John. What Jesus did for the world is being lost. Don’t let it be lost in your life. Come to the Banquet, the invitations have been sent.  More to come.  Pastor Kent
